This year’s Man From Ironbark Festival at Stuart Town (formerly Ironbarks) celebrates the 125th anniversary of A.B. Paterson’s famous Poem about our town where more than 4000 visitors are expected to share the day! 

There will be 100’s of stalls and displays and a great variety of food from Boheme’s Hall at the Oval through to  the Main Street which is closed for the day.  

All of your old favourites are back, including:
• Concerts feat November Shorn, Barry Dickerson and exciting newcomer Ashleigh Parks
• Poets in the Park will be led by Award winners  Bob “Pa” Kettle and Mathew Dickerson
• Art Show with 3 talented Artists
• Sculpture in the Park
• Antique Display of firearms and equipment
• Stage Coach Rides and hold-ups, re-enactment of Banjo Paterson’s “The Man From Ironbark”
• Kids activities including merry-go-rounds and jumping castles
• Guess the weight of the sheep contest
• Street Parade including vintage trucks, cars and minis

Adding to our features this year is the attendance of the Defence Force and TAFE with the aim of bringing the opportunities available for jobs and development to the people and in our friendly village atmosphere.    


Getting there

TrainLink has organised half price fares on the XPT for the first 20 bookings before the 31st March for Festival visitors from Sydney and in between to Stuart Town. The XPT will leave Central at 7.18am arriving in Stuart Town at 12.42pm and returning from Stuart Town at 12.42pm and arriving in Central at 8.44pm.
